Trained by the Compagnons du Tour de France, Jerome developed a valuable skill set in energy efficient and sustainable buildings. In over seven years working within the building industry, he worked alongside innovative builders in France and Switzerland using internationally recognised, performance-based energy concepts in construction such as Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT), Passive House and Sedum Green Roofs.

Prior to this, a career of eight years in the film industry as a gaffer then lighting director, has sharpened his management skills and increased his design credibility in varied settings.

Relocated to New Zealand in 2011 then to Australia in 2012, Jerome completed a Certificate IV in Building and Construction with TAFE NSW and was invited to join the committee of the Manly Warringah Division of the Master Builders Association of NSW in 2016.

Founded in 2012, JB Green Carpentry offers a unique dual approach combining traditional carpentry and cutting-edge green building engineering.
